Sharing My Photography with You
I started my galleries (and my YouTube) to share the beauty of the natural world through the landscape and wildlife images that I capture.
My aim is to inspire you through my photographs of the natural world and provide you the opportunity to share in these images for your own space with my prints and collections.
I am dedicated to providing quality fine art prints, wall art prints and photobooks that tell stories that connect with you beyond the image.
The Person Behind the Lens
Ever since the first time I used a camera at school I’ve believed that a camera is less of a tool and more of a key—it captures moments that inspire and evoke an emotional response, and this the the philosophy I bring to my Photography today.
My name is Andy Hunt, and I hope you enjoy my galleries captured over many years spent chasing light, embracing the elements, and learning to slow down long enough to truly see. As you browse my galleries, I hope that images 'speak' to you and create an emotional response similar to the one I experienced when capturing the image and in producing the print.
Where It All Began: The Magic of the Film Photography and the Darkroom
My journey started in my school days with an inspiring teacher that ran an after school photography club. This introduced me to black and white film photography and the whole process within the darkroom. I still remember the smell of the chemicals and that amazing moment of watching an image slowly materialise on a piece of submerged paper.
Starting with film photography taught me the discipline of 'the single frame.' This taught me that I had to be patient, intentional, and present in the moment. That foundation of film photography still runs through everything I do today. It’s why I love the "tangible" side of photography; to me, a photo isn't truly finished until it becomes something real, something you can hold in the form of a print.
From My Lens to Your Walls
I don’t just want to take 'snaps', I want to capture the feeling of the moment, the look in an animals eye, the wind on a ridge or the stillness of first light at sunrise.
For my Fine Art & Wall Art Prints, I spend hours checking colour, texture and light to ensure that when you hang one of my pieces in your home or office, it does more than just fill a space—it evokes an emotion in the viewer.
This is why I work with the best supplier in the market to create professional prints, using only archival-grade materials because I want these perspectives on nature to last you a lifetime.
And within the pages of the Photobooks I bring to life stories that are too big for a single image. My photobooks are my personal journals, curated and bound to be felt and held, whether to reflect on your own memories or as a coffee table centrepiece. They are designed for those who still love the tactile experience of turning a page and getting lost in a visual journey.
I also now share my experiences on YouTube. I started my YouTube channel because I wanted to take you with me—not just to see the beautiful final result, but to see the messy, cold, and often hilarious reality of how we get there.
Through my videos, I share everything:
The "Why": The philosophy and emotions behind my compositions.
The Gear & Tech: Honest talk about the tools I use (and how I use them).
The Behind-the-Scenes: The early wake-up calls and the long hikes that make the final print so rewarding.
Whether you’re here to find a piece of art for your home or to learn how to create your own, I’m glad you’ve joined me on this path.
'A great photograph is one that makes you feel exactly what I felt standing there.'
